Local partnerships and responsibility

A case study by Phoebe McMullen, Youth Social Action Apprentice at Bournemouth and Poole College, Wiltshire College and Weymouth College.

When young people engage with their local communities, they gain a deeper understanding of the issues and characteristics of the area they live in. Youth Social Action is a powerful way to connect students with the world outside college, shaping active citizens and building a sense of social responsibility. This theme has formed the basis of many projects at
Weymouth College, where Youth Social Action Apprentice Phoebe McMullen has worked with multiple groups.
