Policy
Through our campaigns, policy groups, consultations, events and direct lobbying, AoC has an excellent track record of influencing policymakers.
We are working towards a strong, sustainable sector, secure for years to come.

AoC Policy work
Our policy priorities are set by members, through the AoC Board, AoC 2030 Group, AoC Strategy Groups and through our close engagement with member colleges throughout the year.
Our team of policy experts have worked hard to develop and nurture positive relationships with Ministers and MPs, key government departments, industry and unions. We have strong relationships and feed into the work of think-tanks, employer bodies, and research organisations. We also work in partnership with other sector bodies and seek common ground to build on our influencing work.
Consultation, Inquiry & Calls for Evidence Responses
AoC Policy responds to Government consultations, Select Committee Inquiries and Calls for Evidence throughout the year on a range of issues which impact colleges.
AoC 2030 Group
Focusses on the role colleges play shaping policy thinking to build a resilient FE sector for the future.
AoC Strategy Groups
The work of our Strategy Groups engage college leaders and feed into our 2030 Group.
AoC Reference Groups
Our forums for members to work with government departments, agencies and partner organisations on policy formation and implementation issues.
