T Level Professional Development (TLPD) Offer

AoC is working in partnership with the Education and Training Foundation (ETF) to deliver elements of the T Level Professional Development (TLPD) offer funded by the Department for Education.

The TLPD offer ensures that providers are equipped and comfortable with teaching T Levels from the very start of the qualification. Primarily, it is aimed at providers, and their staff, who have already started delivery of T Levels, or who are due to start delivery.

The support we offer as part of the TLPD offer includes Understanding T Levels. This introductory course for those preparing for the delivery of T Levels, will cover the basics of T Levels and the wider context of technical education policy. Packed with useful information, it will help you understand how to plan and structure your delivery to give your learners the best possible outcomes.

A number of scheduled, open live online or face to face dates are available where you can book onto a course or, alternatively, you can request a course specifically for your organisation by liaising with your ETF Area Relationship Development Lead.

The TLPD offer also includes a range of opportunities to collaborate, such a Networks and T Level Resource Improvement Projects (TRIPs). Networks are available for those delivering T Levels or preparing to deliver T Levels. These are designed to provide support, guidance and the sharing of good practice amongst providers and cover the following themes: Curriculum, Industry Placement and Embedded English, Maths and Digital. TRIPs are an opportunity for providers and other stakeholders to work together to produce resources that will support the planning and delivery of T Levels. They are offered to the sector as pre-agreed projects that will produce specified resources to support teaching, learning and assessment for T Levels.

Applications for the next round of T Level Resource Improvement Projects (TRIPs) are open

Taking part in a TRIP will give you the opportunity to:

  • participate in the resource development for one or more projects
  • identify shared challenges and priority areas of work
  • support the sector and success of T Levels.

They're suitable for teachers, managers and specialist staff, and we particularly encourage applications from the new T Level routes.

The application deadline is 9 November so find out more and apply now!
