Public Affairs: How we support members

We lead AoC’s political influencing in order to strengthen the voice and reputation of colleges. We do this to maximise the role colleges are able to play for people, employers and communities. 

Our work involves the following.

• Supporting members to engage with their local politicians
  We are always at hand to support you with your work engaging with local politicians. This includes briefings ahead of MP visits and other more tailored information.
• Weekly update from Westminster
  We share a weekly update outlining all the important further education (FE) related moments that have taken place in Westminster that week and provide insight into what is on the political horizon.
• Public affairs training
  We offer sessions with college staff to support them with their public affairs work.
• Strengthening the voice of employers
  We bring together leaders from industry to gain insight and help employers navigate the college system and receive support for campaigns.
