How we support our members

We secure funding from government agencies and other organisations to deliver a range of projects which support the sector. Projects vary in duration, scale and topic but have included:

  • quality improvement initiatives
  • college workforce support
  • development programmes
  • research pieces
  • capacity building developments
  • international enterprises.

Project outcomes are disseminated to the sector, ensuring good practice is shared and brought together. These help to raise the profile of FE, prepare colleges for government changes and ensure better outcomes for students. A large majority of our projects offer opportunities of funding and involvement for colleges.

How to get involved

We are always looking for providers to get involved with our projects, and all of the current opportunities are listed below. For more information, please email the team: projects@aoc.co.uk.

Opportunities are also published in the Projects briefing. If you would like to subscribe to alerts, please visit the registration page.

Digital transformation and AI: a roadmap for the FE sector

A new sector-led roadmap sets out how colleges can use digital and AI to improve outcomes for students, apprentices and staff, and to build a more responsive skills system, more closely aligned with employer needs and the realities of a modern economy.

The new Digital Transformation Roadmap, developed through a strategic partnership between the Association of Colleges and Ufi VocTech Trust, will support every college, regardless of their starting point, to use digital technology and AI with clarity and confidence.

Digital Insight Online Sessions

As part of our strategic partnership with Ufi VocTech Trust, three colleges have been selected to be Digital Insight Hubs. The Digital Insight Hub pilot programme aims to reduce digital inequalities by fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing. This term, each Digital Insight Hub will deliver an online session to showcase part of its digital transformation journey.

Access the roadmap now. For more information about the sessions, and how to book, please visit: Digital Insight Hubs | Association of Colleges.
