54% of all 16 to 18-year-olds in publicly funded education in England are studying in colleges.

Most 16 to 18-year-old students are following full-time study programmes as set out by the Department for Education.

Colleges are responsible for 65% of publicly-funded progression of young people to sustainable employment in England.

AoC povides support and guidance to colleges on meeting the requirements of study programmes and we are in regular contact with DfE, Ofqual, IfATE, JCQ, FAB and the awarding organisations about the curriculum, qualification and assessment landscape.
