14 to 16

Over 100 further education (FE) colleges in England provide education for 14 to 16-year-olds. Approximately 10,000 14 to 16-year-olds access part or all of their education in colleges. This includes students on alternative provision (AP), many of whom are in danger of exclusion or have been excluded from school, electively home educated (EHE) learners who attend FE for up to 16 hours per week and full-time, Direct Entry, students who have chosen to study in FE.

AoC has a 14 to 16 Reference made up of Direct Entry provider colleges. For further information on the group or any queries regarding college based 14 to 16 provision contact Cath Sezen, Director of Education Policy.
