Current Opportunity: Assistant Principal - STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Media)
An Exciting Opportunity for an Assistant Principal – STEAM (Science, Technology Engineering, Arts and Media)
Salary: £51,662 – £63,524, depending on experience
This is one of two exceptional opportunities that have arisen at Assistant Principal level owing to internal progression.
Wirral Metropolitan College is a successful FE college, with a turnover of £21m and c.10,000 learners, we are the largest provider of 16-18 education, adult education, training and apprenticeships in Wirral. Operating from four sites that have enjoyed over £20m of investment in the last few years, including our new world class Wirral Waters Campus, we are a financially strong college working towards our vision to be ‘an inclusive, outstanding College.’ We enjoy strong support from partners in the communities we serve and know that our continued success depends on our ability to provide a learning experience that is second to none. We want the College to grow and flourish, based on a reputation for excellence and inclusion, serving the needs of students and employers.
As our new Assistant Principal – STEAM (Science, Technology Engineering, Arts, Media), we will expect you to work with skill, pace and commitment. We are seeking a skilled people manager and leader who will play a key role in continuing our journey towards Outstanding. You will have a strong track record in curriculum innovation and quality assurance together with a creative and effective management style and the ability to develop and implement operational strategies, motivate a high performing workforce and leverage new opportunities. You will be working with a progressive, committed and supportive Board and senior leadership team who are ambitious for success. You will have the opportunity of reviewing, shaping and implementing the long-term strategy for the College. This post provides an exciting opportunity to deliver successful, sustainable and meaningful change and to contribute to the College being clearly recognised as a beacon of excellence and inclusion.
If you have a proven track record of achievement in a curriculum manager or equivalent level of role in post 16 education and are passionate about a student centric approach then this could be the opportunity for you.
