Data Protection

AoC Ltd will be the ‘Data Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us. The processing of your personal data (including name, role and designation, organisation you work for, contact details, image and/or audio) is for AoC’s legitimate interests in managing and administering research for Empowering FE: enhancing skills with technology project.

Why we need your data

We need to collect your basic personal data in order to maintain contact with you throughout the length of the project.

What we do with your data

All personal data is processed by relevant AoC staff in the UK, and will be stored securely by AoC. This data is located and stored on servers managed by AoC’s IT Services’ contractor, who are compliant with the provisions of the GDPR. No third parties have access to your personal data other than AoC.

How long we keep your data

Your personal data will be used for the duration of this programme and will be retained securely for ten years after the closure of the project. More information on our retention schedule can be found at AoC-Data-Retention-Policy.pdf.

What are your rights

If at any point you believe that the information we process on you is incorrect you can request to see this information and have it corrected or deleted. If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact AoC’s Data Protection Officer DPO@aoc.co.uk or the project’s Principal Investigator, Catherine Sezen cath.sezen@aoc.co.uk.

If you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are not processing your personal data in accordance with the law you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office https://ico.org.uk/.
