Student Work Experience Opportunities
Students are an integral part of AoC’s Conference and Exhibition and the 2015 event, taking place in Birmingham between 17 -19 November, is no exception.
We would like to thank all AoC member colleges who have applied for student opportunities this year. We are currently in the process of shortlisting and selecting the chosen candidates/performance and will inform all entrants in the early autumn.
Nominations are now closed for the majority of the categories, however, applications are still welcome for those interested in landscaping opportunities.
Submissions for this category should be made via the online application form. These will be accepted until Friday 11 September 2015.
Overview of responsibilities for the ‘landscaping’ category:
Students, under their tutors’ supervision, to deliver agreed landscapes across various ICC areas.
Design a cohesive green space to complement the functional interiors of the ICC (the venue) with a goal to make the networking areas look and feel distinctive and inviting. You will contribute towards creating relaxing surroundings for our busy delegates where they can meet with their peers, check their emails and enjoy your beautiful creations!
We are open to various ideas and would ask you to ensure that appropriate supporting materials are included in your submission (sketches, photos of inspiration boards as well as a specification of plants to be provided).
Please consider the environment in which the landscapes will be created. Selected plants, ornaments, etc. must last until the final day of the conference (four days in total including the build day).
Nominate your student online today.
Closing date – Friday 11 September.
