Current Opportunity - Vice Principal - Finance & Resources, New College Stamford
New College Stamford is a high performing further education college in Lincolnshire, offering a broad range of post-16 learning programmes and higher education courses. Focused on all-round excellence and recently commended by Ofsted on our “culture of high expectations”, we are committed to being the leader in education and training for our region.
The College have successfully grown and diversified their income in recent years, introducing innovative new areas of skills training and developing niche offers with a national profile. At the same time, they have worked closely with employers and other local stakeholders to heighten their profile. They have recently achieved an Outstanding financial health rating, through combining sound financial control with a proactive, results-focused mindset.
This is an excellent time for a new Vice Principal Finance & Resources to join New College Stamford, to ensure the college’s ongoing financial sustainability and to work as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team responsible for developing the college’s future direction. A Senior Post Holder reporting to the Principal and CEO, you will have strategic responsibility for finance and a diverse corporate services remit, ensuring that high-quality business support services are provided to all stakeholders.
The successful post holder will be a qualified accountant with significant strategic management experience in finance and resources, along with the ability to develop new initiatives and manage change. An inspirational leader with a strong sense of purpose, you should have a strong track record in the management and development of staff. The college are flexible regarding sector background, as long as you have a commitment to student success and all-round excellence.
