Current Opportunity - Principal & Chief Executive
City College Coventry and Henley College CoventryPrincipal & Chief Executivec£140,000The merger between City College Coventry and Henley College Coventry was affirmed and recommended in the recent Area Review, with the intention of both colleges merging on 1st August 2017. This will create an exciting opportunity to shape and develop a new college which embraces the opportunities that Further Education offers.
The shadow board is seeking to appoint a new Principal & Chief Executive who will lead the newly-merged college. With income in excess of £28m, the merged college will be a first-class learning environment for over 8,000 full and part-time students, and will make a significant contribution to meeting the skills needed in the local and regional economy.
The merger of the two well-established colleges will create a single college offering one of the widest choices of professional and vocational education and training opportunities in the Midlands. Both colleges have established strong partnership working with the local community and local and national employers, and both are excited about the benefits the merger will provide to students, employers and the local communities.
We have high aspirations for the future and require an exceptional leader to take the merged college forward. We are seeking a leader of the highest order, visible both internally and externally, who can inspire our workforce and nurture strong links outside the college. You should be entrepreneurial and commercially astute, with sound financial acumen. The ability to foster a strong team ethic in the pursuit of excellence is of paramount importance, as is a focus on creating and embedding a holistic strategy to achieve the highest levels of quality and financial sustainability.
Whether you are currently in the FE world or a leader from another education related sector, a current serving Principal or an aspiring leader seeking your first Principal post, we are keen to hear from you.
