Current Opportunity: Learning Manager Engineering - Gower College
AoC Create are supporting Gower College in recruiting an Engineering Learning Area Manager (LAM)
Gower College are keen to appoint a new Learning Area Manager for Engineering. Responsible for the effective planning and management of the Learning Area duties will include; curriculum planning and delivery, quality assurance, staff development, learner management and budgeting. Assisted by the Assistant Learning Area Manager they will lead staff to ensure the highest standards of quality are embedded within the provision with a clear focus on raising standards and responding to learner needs.
A diverse Learning Area, the curriculum includes programmes across levels 1-5, with the possibility of offering full degree programmes (level 6) in the future. A strong Work based Learning provision forms part of the delivery activities. Staff are passionate and committed in ensuring the many learners in this area achieve their full potential, through innovative teaching styles and excellent outcomes.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate success in driving up standards and providing team leadership in a course co-ordination or curriculum leadership role.
Experience of working in a relevant vocational sector and an established record of fostering good working relationships with employers and other stakeholders within the Engineering external environment is also essential.
This management appointment covers provision and manages teams based across several sites and therefore the successful candidate will need to be flexible and highly organised.
You will already hold or be willing to work towards achieving a Leadership and Management qualification.
