Adult Learning Pays Resources
Thank you for supporting the Adult Learning Pays campaign.
Our mission is to place adults at the heart of policy, ignite national conversations, and drive momentum for lifelong learning.
Throughout the campaign, we’ll keep this page updated with social media graphics, resources, and practical advice to help you share the message and amplify the impact.
So what can you do to support the campaign?
1. Raise awareness on socials
As you know, social media is a great space to raise awareness of campaigns and engage in conversations with stakeholders. We have created a number of graphics which you can share below, as well as suggested copy, but we also encourage you to create and share your own. Just remember to use the hashtag #AdultLearningPays, and link back to our main campaign page: Adult Learning Pays | Association of Colleges

It’s striking to see how much adult learning has declined - that’s a huge loss of potential for people, communities, and employers. We can turn this around, but we need to come together. Join us and the @AoC_info on the #AdultLearningPays campaign.
Suggested copy:
It's no surprise that opportunities have declined as funding as reduced. If we want a skilled, adaptable workforce, reinvesting in adult education has to be part of the plan. Join #AdultLearningPays to campaign for change.
Suggested copy:
A lot of working adults feel they’re not getting enough training, whether to move forward in their career or to do their current job well. That’s something we can and should fix. We're proud to join @AoC_info for the #AdultLearningPays campaign.

This data shows that confidence doesn’t always mean preparedness - supporting adults to upskill now can make a real difference later. Join us as we campaign for increased awareness of the benefits of adult education #AdultLearningPays
2. Tell your local politicians
We need as many politicians as possible to understand the importance of adult learning, and help to make the case for additional investment. Responsibility for funding adult education sits with both the national government at Westminster, and with devolved authorities. That means it's important to make sure your MP knows about the campaign so they can lobby government ministers to increase overall funding, and to get the support of local Mayors who have a powerful voice and can do that lobbying on your behalf. We have drafted this template email for you to send to your local MP, and this email to send to your local mayor. Over the course of the campaign we will have lots of other moments for you to get your local politicians involved.
3. Share your stories
Throughout the campaign we will be sharing stories and case studies that demonstrate the impact of adult education on social media, with the press and with politicians.
So whether it's a new initiative or programme developed by your college to encouraging adults to uptrain or reskill, or an inspiring story of one adult who has gone on to achieve, we want to hear about it.
Please send your case studies to Kate.Parker@aoc.co.uk.
