City of Wolverhampton College is a large, vibrant and diverse further education college, proud of the role it plays in meeting local skills needs and transforming lives through learning. We have high aspirations for our learners and staff, and this role is pivotal in supporting the College’s mission to be consistently great, ensuring that students gain the qualifications, skills and confidence to progress into employment, apprenticeships, further training and higher education.
We are now seeking a new Head of SEND, as the College’s strategic lead for Inclusion including SEND, Additional Learning Support (ALS), and High Needs, you will be accountable for setting strategic direction, assuring quality and securing financial sustainability across this area. Reporting directly to the Assistant Principal: Quality and Engagement, you will provide strategic leadership, rigorous quality assurance and robust financial oversight to ensure that learners with additional needs receive ambitious, inclusive and impactful education that prepares them for employment, further study and independent living.
You will be a proactive, and values-based leader with a moral purpose who puts students first and has an unwavering commitment to pursue achievement for all. An individual with integrity, who prioritises communication and collaboration, and empowers others.
