Current Principal & Chief Executive Opportunity
Telford College of Arts & TechnologyPrincipal & Chief ExecutiveCompetitive Salary
Following its Area Based Review and a public consultation, Telford College of Arts and Technology (TCAT) has entered into merger talks with New College Telford (NCT) with the intention of both colleges merging in August 2017. The shadow board is seeking to appoint a new Principal & Chief Executive who will lead the newly merged college as a first-class learning environment for full and part-time students.
The merger of the two colleges will create a single college offering one of the widest choices of academic, professional and technical education and training opportunities in Shropshire, providing significant benefits to students, employers and the local communities.
We require an exceptional leader to take the merged college forward. Therefore we are seeking a strategic leader who will have the presence and credibility to inspire staff, learners and external partners. Creating a highly visible profile internally and externally, you will champion the quest for ongoing excellence and continuous quality improvement, while nurturing the college’s external relationships with employers and community partners. A resilient and determined individual, you will set high standards while using knowledge of national developments and local needs to create strong prospects for the college.
Entrepreneurial and motivational, you will have a significant track record of driving quality improvement and of embedding a robust, student-centred learning provision within current resource and financial constraints. With experience of delivering high quality provision, you will possess the gravitas, strategic vision, fiscal expertise and operational capability to take the college forward.
You may be a current serving Principal or an aspiring leader seeking your first Principal post, either way we will look for you to demonstrate the vision, expertise and passion to lead us forward.
