Congratulating college staff and governors who appeared in the New Year Honours list, David Hughes, Chief Executive of the Association of Colleges, said: “I would like to congratulate all those in colleges and the wider FE sector who have rightly earned their place on the New Year Honours list.
“All college staff work tirelessly to provide high-quality education and training for their students and they deserve recognition for their efforts.
“The honours list also includes a number of college students, past and present, who have been awarded for their performance as Olympians and Paralympians in Rio 2016. We congratulate them on their achievement.”
