AoC Create are recruiting for a Deputy Principal

Salary: Competitive
City College Coventry is committed to maximising individual potential, improving life chances and meeting the skills and employment needs of Coventry and beyond. With an income of £16million, the college offers wide ranging provision from entry-level qualifications through to degree-level and professional courses, and is a successful provider of apprenticeship programmes which meet key local needs.
The college is in a challenging position, having received an inadequate Ofsted grade in November 2015. However, under the guidance of a highly regarded interim Principal and with a redefined vision, we have started to make strides forward in our journey of recovery. We take pride in our successes, such as our strong employability work, technological innovation and enthusiastic student cohort, while focusing on our over-riding goal of securing the best possible future for the college.
Our new Deputy Principal will play a pivotal role in leading the college to improved outcomes. The new post holder will embed a success-focused culture and transform our approach to quality improvement, ensuring that teaching and learning standards are consistently high, that the offer is innovative and that all learners receive an excellent student experience at all times.
Our successful candidate will be a visible and motivational leader with experience of effective curriculum development and quality assurance within further education. A strategic thinker with a student centred focus, you should demonstrate an ability to lead effectively but sensitively on organisational change and a high degree of motivation to succeed.
This role represents an excellent opportunity not only to play a pivotal role in transforming our college but also to develop your own career towards becoming a Principal.
