Local skills improvement plans (LSIPs)
The policy paper aligns with the Opportunity England recommendation, 'a curriculum for all'.
Implementing these recommendations will advance Opportunity England’s vision by fostering a more responsive, cohesive approach to local and national skills systems. Enhanced employer engagement and streamlined structures will contribute to a more dynamic and practical approach to skills development. Securing sustainable funding and establishing a national strategy will align LSIPs with broader economic goals, improving productivity and growth. This will ultimately create a more efficient and effective skills system, better tailored to local and national needs.
