Registrations open for AoC Sport FIFA Cup 2022

Entries are now open for AoC Sport member colleges and associate members to enter the AoC Sport FIFA Cup 2022.
Now in its third year, the competition - delivered in partnership with the British Esports Association - will run between 25 January and 29 April, with this year’s grand finals taking place live and in person as part of the British Esports Student Champs Finals at Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies, Nottingham in June.
Over 20 per cent of colleges took part in last year’s competition, with players competing in weekly fixtures on both Xbox and PlayStation to find the National FE FIFA Champions.
Alex Newton, staff lead for 2021 PlayStation winners Wyggeston & Queen Elizabeth I College commented: “The Esports FIFA competition was a fantastic experience. The students really enjoyed competing, being part of a team and representing the college.”
Competitor Farhan, 17, added: “This has made me realise the potential I have of becoming an e-sports competitor. I really had fun in this tournament as it allowed me to see what other areas I am good at within my life. This tournament has allowed me to indulge in gaming which is one my favourite hobbies and I really enjoyed it.”
Registrations for the competition are open from 1 December 2021 until 12 January 2022.
