- Adult Learners Week 14-20 June
Adult Learners Week 14-20 June
Adult Learners’ Week are asking learning providers throughout England to help us inspire more people to have a go at learning and celebrate the many benefits it brings. This is your chance to have fun and be creative, whilst spreading the message that learning is good for health, self-esteem and employability... get your college or university involved in this year’s Festival of Learning! The Festival of Learning kicks off in May and continues through to Adult Learners’ Week, 14 - 20 June. If you have a one-off event, a series of events, an open day, a taster session or other activities which can inspire learning, you can promote this by uploading it to the free Online Events Diary. You can also
view other national activities you can take part in.
Get in touch with our Outreach Coordinators to find out about getting involved in your local area.
Use their online resources for branding and advice on hosting events.
Include information about Adult Learners’ Week on your website, intranet and communications to employees, partners and stakeholders.
You can also call the National Careers Service advice line 0800 100 900 to find out about these activities. Also, why not nominate tutors, teachers and trainers that motivate and inspire? This year NIACE, in partnership with NOCN and IfL, has launched the Transforming Lives Awards, celebrating teachers, trainers and tutors who help adults to change their lives through learning. You can nominate a tutor through Transforming Lives Award. The closing date for nominations is 5pm Thursday 8 May.
