Post-16 qualification pathways events – to get ahead of planning, transition and readiness to deliver from the 2027 to 2028 academic year

The Department for Education (DfE) and the Association of Colleges (AoC) are jointly hosting a national roadshow of free-to-attend events focused on the new Post-16 qualification pathways . The events will support effective and successful planning, transition and readiness for delivery from academic year 2027 to 2028.

Delivered across the North, Midlands and South, these in-person sessions are expected to attract significant demand, and early booking is strongly encouraged.

These events are specifically designed for those individuals with responsibility for whole-provider curriculum planning and provision within your organisation.

What the sessions will cover

Attendees will gain:

  • A clear overview of the current and emerging Post-16 pathways including T Levels, V Levels and Level 2 Foundation and Occupational Certificates.
  • Practical guidance on transition planning and responding to DfE’s request for strategic transition planning statements
  • Insights from other providers with experience in curriculum and transition planning
  • Consideration of resource, workforce, curriculum, and delivery implications
  • Approaches to communicating changes to learners, parents and employers

Pre-session activity

To ensure sessions are focused and practical, attendees will be asked to complete a short pre-session survey and may be invited to share examples of effective and successful transition planning and progression models and approaches.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first registration basis. We anticipate very high demand across all regions, therefore please confirm your place as soon as possible by clicking book now
