Lesley Venables

Lesley is a corporate governance specialist, who has worked extensively in governance within the education/public sector for over 25 years.

Since establishing her own consultancy in 2014, she has been engaged by a number of FE colleges to support the development and delivery of their governance frameworks. Amongst her past and present clients are FE colleges in Halton, Hull College, London, Halifax and Southport.

She has also been Clerk to the Board at Liverpool John Moores University, company secretary at an awarding body, head of governance at an independent school in Manchester and has worked for a company providing clerking services to schools, UTCs and academies across the North West.

Based in Cheshire, currently Lesley is Head of Governance at Walsall College in the West Midlands and the Governance Professional at Wirral Met College in Birkenhead.

In her spare time she is an avid baker (often for charitable events) and enjoys travel and fitness.
