UCAS end of cycle report - AoC responds

18 December 2019

UCAS has released this year's end of cycle report which contains more analysis of university progression statistics. Commenting on the data, Chief Executive David Hughes said: “Year on year growth of conditional unconditional offers is extremely worrying, and risks students making the wrong choices, taking their foot off the gas and feeling pressured into choosing a university too soon and limiting their aspirations. However, it is welcoming to see further narrowing of the gap between the most and least disadvantaged students – it is thanks to colleges that so many young people from less well off backgrounds apply each year. Those applying from colleges accounted for over half of all disadvantaged young people progressing to university this year.” You can access the 2019 End of Cycle Report here.
