SFA's Director of Funding and Programmes confirmed to speak at AoC Future Apprenticeships Conference
AoC Future Apprenticeships ConferenceThursday 2 July 2015Holiday Inn Bloomsbury, London
Event supported by the Association of Employment and Learning Providers and the Apprenticeship Staff Support Programme
As the Government’s commitment to deliver three million more high quality apprenticeships by 2020 continues to be a pressing matter on the college agenda, we bring you a timely opportunity to gather the latest information at the AoC Future Apprenticeships Conference on 2 July in London.
Alongside the unveiling of a new ‘taskforce’ to oversee the realisation of the Government’s target only last week, the next round of "Standards, Assessments and new Employer Groups" has now been submitted. We are expecting the current 230 standards to increase quite significantly, so understanding the impact on colleges is essential.
With the Association of Colleges being involved in a pilot project aimed at bringing providers closer to the new Trailblazer Apprenticeships, we are at the centre of the crucial changes taking place at the moment. We invite you to engage with this agenda on 2 July, which AoC Chief Executive Martin Doel has identified as "the central focus for the next five years”.
NEW: We are delighted to announce that Keith Smith from SFA will join us on the day of the conference. Keith has worked in the Skills system for more than 20 years. In recent years he has been leading the development and delivery of the national Further Education and Apprenticeship funding systems.
Keith will be available for a Q&A session following his presentation so please come prepared to gain a real insight into how SFA is funding existing apprenticeship frameworks alongside the new standards.
