AOSEC formally joins AoC

20th May 2019

The Association of South East Colleges (AOSEC) has merged with the Association of Colleges (AoC), further formalising the partnership that has thrived for more than 20 years. The merged organisation will continue to support more than 60 colleges and partner organisations across the south-east to provide world-class education and skills in the post compulsory education and training sector - representing members, organising events, and delivering projects. Members will also benefit from the more formal arrangement, allowing them to better connect with the just under 95% of English colleges that are AoC Members – sharing resources, learnings and best practice. David Hughes, Chief Executive of the Association of Colleges, said: “In the AoC review last year, members said they wanted improved consistency of service and this move helps to bring that forward. I’d like to thank everyone at AOSEC for helping to make the move a seamless one. I look forward to working even more closely with south-east members and staff to continue provide a high-quality offer.” AOSEC staff and services will transfer to AoC and Pamela Lumsden, Chief Executive of the Association of South East Colleges, will continue in her role until after the summer.
