AoC makes ten suggestions for the Autumn Statement

19th June 2019

AoC's submission to HM Treasury makes ten recommendations for them to consider. The statement asks for a halt to further funding reductions for the 2015-16 financial year, a consolidation of budgets, action on post-16 maths and English, a new approach to the organisation of education for 16 to 19-year-olds, an end to large capital grants for 'boutique' schools, an innovation fund to encourage the implementation of education technology, a reform of VAT rules, a review of how to change adult funding to make better use of student loans and to secure local influence on skills decisions and year-end budget exchange for college capital funding in March 2015.
