The bright lights

Orange, purple, green

The pain in the neck

I remember the sparkles

The light fizzing around

Drawing of the letters

The burning of the hand

I remember the wood crackling

The angry orange wave

Melting in a sea of heat

My face toasting in the glow

I remember the attitude

fearless, carefree, excited

Plastic throwing, plastic popping

explosions in my face

I remember the debris

burnt rubber, charcoaled wood

The misty coldness

The ash under my feet.
