Survive 2019 by Carolyn Anne, Northern College

February

Survive a word spoken to often, too early to easy, today.

Innocence of energy, stolen violently away.

I salute the survivors around us,

That go around us unheard.

Those heroes that walk amongst us that pray to their god to help every day.

Our adults pretend to be wise

But their eyes tell us they’re not

The inner child inside us is simply forgot.

The sun will rise again around us

Where everyone will shine

But once the moon arises, it can create so many surprises that is abrupt but can corrupt.

Survival of the strongest

Survival of the brave

You are the innocent amongst us, that surely will need to be saved and save.

My love is sent to you, I receive yours with whole heart.

Thank you for this moment, thank you for your heart.
