The College is the main provider of post-16 education in the borough and plays a vital role within the Yorkshire and Humber region. The College achieved outstanding at its last Ofsted inspection in March 2022 and continues to deliver outstanding teaching and learning and very strong outcomes for learners.
At Barnsley College, we are committed to putting the needs of our students first and promoting a positive working environment across all campuses. Barnsley College is more than just a college, as many of our facilities are operating as commercial businesses alongside everyday teaching. The ideal candidate will have expertise around safeguarding and the ability to influence both in and outside of the college in the local stakeholder environment.
As the Vice Principal of Students, you will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and will work closely with the senior managers and department heads to set targets and deliver an inspired and adaptable curriculum, tailored to meet the needs of our learners. Excellence, inspiration, and innovation is what drives us. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader and a creative communicator who can articulate a shared vision for the college and inspire others to succeed. An individual with integrity, who prioritises collaboration, empowers others, and is visible and accessible to staff and students.
Our purpose is to transform lives, and this doesn’t start and end with our students. We also aim to transform the lives of our colleagues as well. If you believe that you have the vision, skills, expertise, and enthusiasm to make a difference and help us realise our ambitions, we want to hear from you.
Barnsley College is committed to creating a dynamic and diverse workforce and welcomes applications from all candidates regardless of their gender, disability, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or faith.
