New Fit to Work Programme

The Government has launched a new website http://fitforwork.org/ as a resource hub for its ‘Fit to Work’ programme. This scheme enables employers to refer employees on long term sickness absence to an occupational health professional. The Department for Work and Pensions has also issued new guidance for employers on its Fit to Work scheme, as well as guidance for employees.
