Head of Apprenticeship DeliveryLondonCompetitive salary
This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to make a lasting difference in the world of apprenticeships and education and would relish working hard for something they believe in for a mission-driven, values based, large, fast-growing charity based in London.
The employer is an innovative charity which operates across the UK working with 50,000 young people, employing 700 staff and turning over £85m next year. It is an innovative and creative place to work; founded within the last decade, it has designed and scaled three programmes – each of which make a lasting difference to local communities and young people’s lives. Each of which has been designed in partnership with senior Ministers, corporate partners, community organisations and young people.
The employer is looking for someone to play a pivotal role in its high-quality, well-respected growing apprenticeship programme. The programme was launched in 2014 and has had very strong initial success; completion rates are 20% above the national average, employer and young people satisfaction rates are high and the programme has received praise from small business clients, large multi-national corporate clients, parents and young people, Ministers and staff in Number 10.
Following its initial success, the programme is now growing strongly. Within the next three years, the programme aims to grow from its base in London to cover two other cities, and grow the number of learners it works with from 250 to 1000. In order to do this at high quality, it is looking to hire a senior member of staff with great potential who can lead the teaching, training and assessing within this growing apprenticeship programme.
As a senior leader, you will manage a team of 20 staff with this number growing significantly over the next few years. You will sit on the Senior Leadership Team for the apprenticeship programme and on the Wider Leadership Team for the whole organisation.
The employer is looking for someone passionate about high quality delivery, who would relish a challenge, is values led with their approach and has a proven, excellent track record of managing and leading teams to deliver outstanding teaching practice and outcomes, with robust knowledge of work-based teaching and learning. Alongside this, you will demonstrate strong strategic leadership, including the ability to manage complex change, oversee large budgets and undertake strategic planning and decision making.
This is a fantastic – and highly unusual – opportunity to join an influential, impactful and visionary organisation at a time of significant growth and development.
