Chaired by: Mike Cox, Operations Director, AELPGuest speakers: Janet Ryland, Head of Funding Policy Implementation and Richard Mole, Funding Policy Implementation Manager, Skills Funding AgencyThe application process for organisations to apply to the Register of Apprentice Assessment Organisations and undertake end-point assessments against apprenticeship standards has now been running for over a year. Any organisation is able to apply to become an end-point assessment organisation, including providers, employers, professional bodies and awarding organisations. This webinar will tell you about the role of end-point assessment organisations and how to go about applying to become an end-point assessment organisation, along with some of the benefits and challenges of becoming an end-point assessment organisation.The webinar will also look at what has been learnt so far from some of the end-point assessments that have already taken place as well as reporting back from the ‘mock assessments’ that AELP and AoC carried out as part of the Future Apprenticeships Project.
This webinar is commissioned and funded by The Education and Training Foundation as part of the new Future Apprenticeships Support programme and is therefore complimentary to attend.
Objectives:
This webinar will:
Explain the application process for becoming an apprenticeship assessment body
Examine the pros and cons of becoming an apprenticeship assessment body
Look at the lessons learnt from end point assessments that have taken place.
Providers will:
Understand the process for application to become an apprenticeship assessment body
Learn from end point assessments that have already taken place.
