Update on college accounts direction for 2015-16
SFA and EFA have updated the 2015-16 Colleges accounts direction and have asked for quick comments before they publish it in January 2016. We do not really think it is satisfactory to issue this document part way through the college financial year but this has been the practice for several years and it is helpful to have a chance to comment. AoC has issued a tender for the provision of advice to college finance staff on the interpretation of UK accounting standards set out in FRS102, FE/HE SORP and the college accounts direction. Our requirements are for
a model set of financial statements designed to produce consistent and comparable information for their own purposes as well as to meet the needs of their many regulators and stakeholders including the SFA and EFA.
