AoC is working with energy consultants and solutions provider Inenco as part of a new strategic partnership to cut college energy bills through greater efficiency.

The partnership will help the sector reduce its energy consumption through the adoption of effective procurement strategies and energy reduction initiatives. Inenco will support colleges with energy management whilst while also offering tailored sustainability solutions and expertise.

Colleges will be able to access a range of benefits including daily market reports, free consultancy sessions, webinars, research reports, and much more. This will enable college leaders to make informed decisions to reduce their operating costs and environmental impact, as well as demonstrate its commitment to sustainability to students, staff, and the wider stakeholders.

Ian Munro, Sustainability Lead at the Association of Colleges, said: “We are delighted to be working with the team at Inenco to help them in their support of the wider college sector building on those colleges who have already benefited from their services.”

Inenco Head of New Business, Jordan Rassas, commented: “The education sector has been hit hard by the current market conditions. Inenco has taken on many new education establishments over the past nine months, we have worked with them to implement procurement strategies that will protect them if price rises are to occur again. The education sector is of strategic focus for Inenco and Industry that we are hoping to become synonymous with. I and Inenco look forward to meeting and speaking to AoC members over the coming events and regional meetings.”
