Current Opportunity: Principal and CEO - The Cornwall College Group
AoC Create is delighted to support the Cornwall College Group with the appointment of a Principal and CEO.
The Cornwall College Group is a large, diverse, multi-site college, committed to improving opportunity, inclusivity and economic prosperity in the South West peninsular region. Through a wide-ranging, responsive curriculum, progressive approach to teaching and learning, and focus on employability and progression, the college makes a significant impact on learners, communities and employers alike, ensuring to deliver on the core purpose of ‘Making Learning Work’.
The Group already have many successes to build upon, including the effective delivery of one of the largest apprenticeship offers in the country, award-winning specialist programmes and a thriving Higher Education provision which has achieved Foundation Degree Awarding Powers and Silver TEF status. They have also cultivated an excellent external profile locally, establishing productive partnerships with high profile employers such as the Eden Project. The Cornwall College Group's strategic intent will involve working more closely with Truro and Penwith College to ensure that learners and stakeholders benefit from comprehensive, accessible education and skills provision across the region.
The new Principal and Chief Executive will further develop and embed future strategy, leading a restructure that will deliver a high quality, sustainable college on a smaller, more efficient footprint. Effective strategic curriculum and business planning will be key to success, as will the development of robust stakeholder relationships and the establishment of the Group as a key partner in economic and social development. The Cornwall College Group's new leader will also champion a culture of high expectations and ongoing quality improvement, while prioritising an outstanding experience for all learners.
