- First ever AoC President's Award given to Brockenhurst students
First ever AoC President's Award given to Brockenhurst students
19th November 2019
Today the Association of Colleges awarded its first ever President's Award at Annual Conference in Birmigham.
The Association of Colleges’ President’s Award is a brand-new award, established to recognise those who have made a unique and lasting impact on the further education sector. The inaugural award goes to students from Brockenhurst College, in recognition of their vital work in the Love Our Colleges campaign. Their online petition gathered well over 70,000 signatures, galvanised students and staff across the country, and sparked two debates in Parliament. Not long after, the government announced a £500 million investment in further education – the first increase for almost a decade.
