England Colleges National Teams selected for 2020/21

Following a very competitive two-phase trials process, we are happy to announce the men’s and women’s players selected for the England Colleges National Teams for 2020/21. More than 300 players in total were nominated for the national team, which had to be whittled down to a squad of 20 players each for the men’s and women’s squads. Congratulations to all the players who have been selected, it is a great achievement, and we hope they enjoy the experience. Thank you to the students, coaches, parents, clubs and friends who have supported and all the college staff for their efforts in getting students to trials. Whilst this has been a challenging year with COVID, we are delighted that we have been able to provide this unique opportunity for players, and we thank everyone for their patience and compliance with the process, enabling us to provide safe trials at both the phase 1 and phase 2 stage. Thanks also to the institutions who hosted the trials: Bishop Burton College, Newcastle Stafford Colleges Group, USP College, Weston-super-Mare FC, Loughborough College and Aylestone Park FC.

Future Elite Sports are once again the official partner and funder of the England Colleges National Teams, providing essential sponsorship which enables the programme to run, on top of supporting players who wish to seek study and playing opportunities in America. VEO cameras provided us with the opportunity to film and analyse each of our trials and once again, players will be equipped with wearable PlayerTek technology provided by our partners at Catapult Sports. As well as offering undergraduate, postgraduate and online degrees dedicated to the football and sports industry, our higher education partner, UCFB, will provide us with the opportunity to play at quality stadia, and student internship support.
