Darlington College is an ambitious college, striving to best serve learners within our various communities in Darlington and the wider Tees Valley, County Durham and North Yorkshire. With a turnover of approx. £16m the college is located in state of the art facilities in Darlington.
They have been on an incredible journey of transformation over the last three years, leading to our Ofsted Good rating in May 2016. A high-performing vocational college, we offer an expanding range of education and training, apprenticeships and a comprehensive Higher Education programme.
The College are currently seeking an ambitious and inspirational Director of Finance & Corporate Resources who will lead on finance and funding, estates and facilities and IT services. Putting in place an ambitious financial strategy while ensuring effective on-going financial control, you will enable the college to achieve an excellent financial health rating in the future as well as maximise the college’s funding from all relevant sources.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a strong track record of financial planning and control at a senior level. A strategic thinker with a strong team working ethic, you will be a visible and motivational leader with the ability to engage effectively within and beyond the college.
