Career Opportunity - Vice Principal Finance & Business Planning
Salary: £70,000 plus 10% PRP
Based on the stunning south coast of England with a cohort of over 7,000 learners and an annual income of around £13m, Weymouth College provides an innovative and responsive curriculum for the communities it serves. The college is proud of the students’ achievements and prioritises the student experience within a culture of respect and ambition.The college wishes to appoint a Vice Principal Finance & Business Planning to join the senior leadership team. Reporting to the Principal, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership, management and development of a robust college financial strategy, ensuring the college operates in accordance with relevant statutory requirements and sustains a stable financial base. Holding specific responsibility for Finance and Business Planning, you will also be expected to oversee HR, Performance Management, MIS and Exams and will therefore need to demonstrate knowledge of quality improvement procedures and provide evidence of broader operational and strategic leadership experience.You will need substantial experience of financial management in further education with a proven track record of achieving significant improvements to financial control and management. Experience of business planning is essential to steer the college through a number of financial challenges and at the same time optimise on the many opportunities for development that are available to the organisation.To be considered for this pivotal role you will be a qualified accountant with experience of successfully managing finance functions along with other support areas. A dynamic leader you will have sound business acumen in order to determine a strategic financial direction for the college in a challenging financial climate.
