- AoC Annual Conference Programme launched
AoC Annual Conference Programme launched
19th June 2019
Leader of the Opposition, Rt Hon Jeremy Corbyn MP, will speak at the Association of Colleges (AoC) Annual Conference and Exhibition this year.
Mr Corbyn is one of the headline speakers at the event, taking place at the ICC in Birmingham on 14-15 November. Other highlights announced include Ofsted Chief Inspector Amanda Spielman and writer and broadcaster Matthew Syed.
David Hughes, Chief Executive of AoC, said: “AoC’s Annual Conference and Exhibition is a highlight of the college sector calendar and this year will be no different. It is great news that we have the Leader of the Opposition coming to speak to delegates for the first time. It’s another important recognition of the crucial roles which colleges play, for the economy, for communities, families, young people and adults.
“Colleges remain at the heart of their local communities and the national economy – that’s why the theme of the conference is colleges mean business.”
Alongside the keynote speeches, delegates will also have the opportunity to have in-depth discussions on the key issues of the day, including apprenticeships, curriculum reforms and T Levels.
The event will also see the announcement of our Beacon and Student of the Year Award winners.
Booking is open for the event, with information available at the conference website.
