Dr Sam Parrett CBE DL, Group CEO, London South East Colleges
Dr Sam Parrett is Group Principal and CEO of Elevare Civic Education Group, which comprises a multi-campus further and higher education college (London South East Colleges), a large multi-academy trust (London South East Academies Trust) and a charity (Elevare Education Foundation).
Sam has more than 30 years’ experience across the education sector and is a National Leader of Further Education, supporting and mentoring emerging leaders across the sector.
In 2020, the college, under Sam’s leadership, established the FE Foodbank Friday initiative and went on to co-found Good for Me Good for FE. This national social action programme celebrates and encourages the fundraising and volunteering activities of FE staff and students in their local communities.
Through her wider work, Sam champions education as a catalyst for social change, with a commitment to widening participation and supporting disadvantaged and SEND learners.
In recognition of her services to education and civic leadership, Sam was awarded a CBE in 2021.
