Dr Leroy Logan MBE, Former founding member and Chair, Metropolitan and National Black Police Associations, Co-founder, Voyage Youth and Chair, Transition to Adulthood

Dr Leroy Logan MBE is one of the UK’s most highly decorated and well-known Black police officers. A former founding member and Chair of both the Metropolitan and National Black Police Associations, he has been a leading voice for equity and fairness in the criminal justice system. His remarkable career was recently portrayed in Sir Steve McQueen’s BAFTA and Golden Globe-winning Small Axe series, and he has since shared his experiences in his autobiography Closing Ranks: My Life as a Cop. Beyond policing, Dr Logan co-founded the social justice charity Voyage Youth, empowering young people to transform their communities, and in 2022 he became Chair of Transition to Adulthood (T2A), supporting fairer outcomes for young adults in the justice system.
Today, he continues to be a respected commentator on policing and social justice, contributing regularly to major broadcasters and publications.
