Baroness Sue Campbell DBE is one of the UK’s most influential figures in sport, with a career spanning leadership, education and public service. She is Chair of England Netball and was previously Chair of UK Sport, where she played a pivotal role in overseeing Britain's Olympic and Paralympic success, including the London 2012 Games. She also served as Director of Women’s Football at The Football Association, helping to transform and grow the women’s game. [gov.uk]
A passionate advocate for sport and physical activity, Sue has dedicated her career to increasing opportunities for young people to participate, develop confidence and achieve their potential. In 2026, she was appointed as the Department for Education’s Enrichment Ambassador for Sport and Physical Activities, supporting the government’s work to expand access to high-quality enrichment opportunities for children and young people. In this role, she also advises on PE and sport more widely, helping ensure every young person can benefit from the life skills and opportunities that sport provides.
