Diane Dimond

Diane has worked as an FE Adviser in the Further Education Commissioner's team at the Department for Education since 2023. She also provides consultancy services to the education sector, specialising in supporting senior leadership and governance.   

Diane, a Chartered Accountant, trained with Deloitte and worked in the private sector to director level, before moving across to the education sector nearly 30 years ago when she secured Qualified Teacher Status and started her career in FE.  She has a broad range of governance and leadership expertise developed from her roles as Principal & CEO, CFO and governance professional undertaken across several FE colleges. 

In addition to her private sector and FE experience, Diane has served as LEP board director, school governor and committee chair as well as company secretary to a social housing association.
