This is a fantastic time to join City of Portsmouth College, as we are coming to the end of our first strategic plan and we have strong foundations to propel ourselves even further forwards.

We have created a new Vice Principal Quality and Digital Innovation in Teaching, Learning and Assessment role to join our impactful Senior Management Team. Reporting to the Deputy CEO and Deputy Principal Curriculum and Quality, this role will provide strategic leadership for the quality of education across all provision types and will work in partnership with other senior leaders to spearhead digital innovation, AI-enabled learning and technology-enhanced teaching, learning and assessment.

Key to success will be leading the college's approach to teaching excellence, championing consistently strong outcomes for learners and developing a rigorous, dynamic culture of quality improvement, to ensure the college moves towards excellence and Ofsted “Strong”. The new postholder will add value through leading the implementation of the College Quality Strategy and contributing significantly to the delivery of the Strategic Plan 2026-2030.

Our successful candidate will have experience of leading large-scale quality improvement and organisational change initiatives within Further Education, with experience across a broad FE and apprenticeship offer. You should bring practical experience of working with Ofsted inspection methodology, as well as inspection experience in the capacity of an Ofsted Inspector. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels, are also of key importance.
