We have created a new Vice Principal Curriculum and Quality (Sixth Form) role to join our impactful Senior Management Team. Reporting to the Deputy CEO and Deputy Principal Curriculum and Quality, this role will provide strategic leadership across all academic programme areas at our Sixth Form Campus, ensuring they are industry‑aligned, innovative and deliver outstanding learner outcomes. 

Key to success will be leading curriculum planning, establishing the college as the destination of choice and ensuring continuous quality improvement to move towards excellence and Ofsted “Strong”.  As a member of the SMT, you will play a key role in achieving the College's vision of excellence through developing and implementing the College’s Strategic Plan 2026-2030 and its sub-strategies.

The successful candidate will bring substantial experience of leading A Level and academic provision within a sixth form or further education environment, with a strong track record of raising student achievement, accelerating progress and improving destination outcomes. You will have proven expertise in leading teaching, learning and assessment, driving curriculum innovation and developing high-performing teams. The ability to think strategically, translate vision into high impact leadership and build impactful external partnerships is also of key importance.

This is a fantastic time to join City of Portsmouth College, as we are coming to the end of our first strategic plan and we have strong foundations to propel ourselves even further forwards.
