- Understanding OfS’ regulation of free speech at colleges webinar
Understanding OfS’ regulation of free speech at colleges webinar
Venue: Online via Zoom
Date: 14 September 2026
Time: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Fee: Free for AoC members
The Office for Students (OfS) has published rules for a new freedom of speech complaints scheme which opens on 1 September, and it has updated the regulatory guidance related to free speech.
OfS has also announced the disapplication of regulatory conditions E1 and E2 for colleges that do not have Degree Awarding Powers although there will be new conditions of registration that will apply to all providers registered with the OfS. This webinar will focus on how colleges are in scope of OfS’ free speech regulation and what this means in practice. There will be an opportunity to hear from Arif Ahmed, Director of Free Speech at the OfS and to ask questions.
Please note, this webinar is only open for AoC members.
