AoC Sport Curriculum Conference returns to Loughborough on Thursday 5 February 2026.

As the FE landscape continues to evolve at pace, this year’s conference brings together the collective expertise of educators, curriculum leaders, employers and industry professionals from across the country. Together, we will explore the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of sport in FE.

This event is more than a conference; it is a space for collaboration, insight and inspiration. Whether you are refining your curriculum for 2026/27, strengthening employer engagement, or seeking fresh approaches to deliver meaningful learner outcomes, this conference offers the chance to connect with peers, hear from sector leaders and contribute to shaping a dynamic, inclusive and future-ready FE sport offer.

We are delighted to once again have Pearson as the AoC Sport Curriculum Conference headline sponsor for 2026, leading key sessions on ‘Balancing AI upskilling with AI assignment risk’ and ‘Leveraging industry partnership for learner success.’

Deidre Williams, Director, VQ Portfolio Management, Pearson, commented, "Pearson are proud to return to the AoC Sport Curriculum Conference as headline sponsor for the 5th year running. As the sector evolves, we’re here to support colleges and shape what comes next. Let's move sport education forward, together."

As part of the first look at the programme for the event, here are five more reasons to book your place:

  • Derby College Group will encourage you to step into the future of teaching and learning with immersive 360° VR environments powered by Thinglink and enhanced by AI-driven features.
  • UCS College Group will be delivering an interactive workshop showcasing practical assessment strategies and digital tools that make a real impact.
  • We will explore the role of colleges in building healthier communities and supporting people to adapt healthier behaviours in an interactive panel session.
  • Join AQA to explore results for A-Level PE and national data trends from the summer 2025 exam series, along with insights from the examiner reports to help you plan for the 2026 exam series.
  • YMCA Awards will be exploring how the sector can move from talking about change to activating it.

Delegates will have the opportunity to network with a host of organisations as part of the conference exhibition, including Pearson, AQA, Indigo Fitness, P3from, Active IQ, Les Mills and Serious Sport.

Further breakout sessions and keynote speakers will be announced over the coming weeks, including sessions covering teaching, learning and assessment methods, employer engagement, careers and enrichment, with speakers from member colleges and sector partners.
