Rugby League

Rugby League is a contact sport where players attempt to score a try against their opponents by gaining territory during their set of possession which last for 6 tackles, or by kicking for position (usually at the end of their set). The majority of the game is played with ball in hand.

Rugby League in Colleges

There are established boys’ leagues across Yorkshire and the North West, which run alongside tiered cup competitions and 9s festivals. This activity is delivered by the RFL’s Competitions department with support from the Education team. In Southern regions, festival style 9s activity happens throughout the season with multiple teams attending one venue. If you have a developing or established side that you would like to enter into any of our competitions or are looking for friendly fixtures, use the contact details below to get in touch.

The girls’ activity is festival based and currently takes place just across the northern regions. We adopt a flexible approach to playing numbers and format which is decided on a game by game basis. Multiple teams play at a single location, with points accrued throughout the season and a final held between the top 2 teams at the end of the festival series. If you would like information on how to get involved, get in touch via the contact details below.
